It's worth it to forgive
It is worth it to forgive. For a long time, I hated my birth mother for the terrible things that she did to me and my family. At one point, I thought that if she died, I didn't think I would even care. It was a horrible way to live, and it affected the way I lived certain parts of my life and some of the decisions that I made. Because of holding in this unforgiveness, I was unable to let go and take hold of the blessings God had in store for me and my life. I have since completely forgiven her, and instead I now have compassion for her. Forgiving her was worth the freedom that it gave. Holding it against her wasn't worth the pain it caused.
